Scenario
Follow Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Badingham as their long-running rivalry comes to an end. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner has previously starred in Chavenage House (The Priory in Rivals). The same filming location was also used to depict Trenwith House in the 2015 BBC TV adaptation of Poldark.. I haven’t read the books so can’t comment on how accurate it is.
It’s a little cheesy
However, I can say that I really enjoyed this show and I really hope it gets a second series. But it makes for great television. And a lot of escapism. I managed to watch everything in 2 days.
I wish there were more episodes
It’s nice that they don’t drag it out too long though. David Tennant is great as usual. But I was actually more surprised at how good Danny Dyer was. I have seen him in a few things.
But he was brilliant
(Who isn’t) And I was a bit skeptical to see him in this one. There are so many characters that I just love and some that I loved to hate. Too many to mention. Highly recommend.
