Scenario
A man takes his wife and their teenage children on a trip to divorce. Writer/director Florent Bernard watched a lot of movies about parental divorce and realized that they were either comedy or drama, with little in between. Also, it was always shown from parents' points of view, not children’s, so he wanted to address this theme by making a bittersweet comedy with nostalgia and funny scenes, while also involving children in the story. During the breakfast scene at the beginning of the film, Sandra’s children look down on their own lives. a bowl of cereal in front of him in one frame, then suddenly into his mother standing off to the side in the next shot.
