It tells the story of three very different families who compete to buy the same Spanish-style villa in the 1920s. They think all their problems will be solved. Dennis Leary and Ray Romano both appeared in the Ice Age franchise (2002-present). It’s surprising to see the show so underrated, but after seeing so many reviews, it explains why they didn’t improve after the first episode. The show is a slow-burn mystery romp that may not be for everyone. I personally find it fun and entertaining with a special tone for Liz Feldman. I really like the cast and everyone’s acting. Due to my own biases (a lifetime of not being able to separate him and Raymond from every love), I wasn’t initially sold on Ray Romano, but that quickly went away. All the different characters have their own backstories that form a tangled web that gradually unravels, though not completely. Even though the major twist was set up so quickly, by the last episode I was already pretty invested in the story. I’m not mad about it though. I’d like to see more of this show and I really hope they get a second season.
