The son disappears

Scenario

Troubled father Leon takes his son camping in the Appalachians. The local cult calls the hanged demon evil. Leon must confront the cult, the monster, to find him among the growing body count.

Leon: What, Toots?

During the climactic fight with the Hanged Man, after Leon fails to pull the pin from the grenade (the safety lever is clearly still in place). It wouldn’t have gone off, he would have hit him with it instead… I liked this movie after watching it.

I personally wouldn’t do it

A pretty decent effort, as far as I’m concerned. It should have shown more of the hangman and could have been a little scarier. The only thing I thought was that it might be a little unrealistic for a black man and his son to go camping in the woods, isolated in rural Virginia.

It was pretty decent

to be hassled by the local hill and mountain men. I found the father character a bit annoying, although he acted like a scared rabbit in some parts. But overall I liked it.
