Course 13: SQL Server 2019 Administration

Description Students who have taken our previous courses know that we like to take an in-depth look at all the technologies we work on. To meet this need, we develop courses in large series. This chain of courses helps students not only understand the technology itself, but also confidently implement it in their company, prepare for and ace interviews, and keep their knowledge up to date. This SQL series includes 3 courses with a total of over 30 hours of intensive training. These courses are as follows: Course 11: SQL Server 2019 on Windows Server 2019 and Failover Clusters. Course 12: SQL Server 2019 on Linux and Azure.

Why did we do this?

Course Overview: Before we look at the course overview, we would like to add one more important note: The network and infrastructure used in this course were created in our series “Course 1: Setting up Windows Server 2019 Networking – Microsoft” where we created the virtual environment for all the courses we have developed so far. Simply because we don’t want to waste your time in repeatedly creating the source virtual machine, network adapters, routers and other infrastructure. We want to give you REAL-TIME industry experience by integrating various technologies into a LARGE NETWORK. This will enable students to apply computer and technology skills to learn and problem-solve. Now let us discuss the course flow in detail. This SQL Fundamentals for Beginners course consists of Theories and LAB SESSIONS.

Module 2: “Data Modeling” describes a number of data modeling techniques

The course is divided into four sections: Section 1: Prepare your network for installing SQL SERVER 2019 on Windows Server 2019. Starting with sections 1 to 4, you will learn about – the new features in SQL Server 2019 – the prerequisites for installing SQL Server 2019 on an existing network that we created together in Course 1: Setting up a Windows Server 2019 network – Microsoft series – installing the 1st instance of a single SQL Server 2019, SQL Server Management Studio 18 – performing remote access and creating snapshots Segment 2: Get to grips with the basics for advanced topics In this segment from sections 5 to 9, you will learn the basics of databases. As an administrator, you need to understand all the terminology related to databases to better manage the product. We will learn the basics of the following topics: Module 1: “Introduction to Databases” introduces important database concepts in the context of SQL Server 2019. Module 3: “Normalization” introduces the concept of normalization and describes normalization and denormalization techniques. Module 4: Relationships describes the different types of relationships and their impact in database design.

Segment 4: SQL Server 2019 Failover Clustering

Module 5: Performance describes the impact of database design on performance. Module 6: Database Objects introduces commonly used database objects. **Expect some theory which might be a bit boring. Segment 3: Let’s do hands-on exercises with tons of LABS. Section 10 is very interesting because we have prepared LABS (projects) for you so that you can practice all the concepts we learned together in Segment 2. Starting with Section 11, we will do the following LABS: A – Creating Domain Service Accounts B – Installing 1st SQL Server 2019 Failover Cluster Instance C – Installing 2nd SQL Server 2019 Failover Cluster Instance D – Testing the Reliability of SQL Server 2019 Failover Cluster.

E – Move DB from a single SQL Server 2019 to a SQL Server 2019 failover cluster to achieve high availability

When you complete this course, you will be prepared and ready to take the next course 12: SQL Server 2019 on Linux and Azure. Who this course is for: The primary audience for this course is people moving into a database role or whose role has been expanded to include database technologies.
